“Zane and the team renovated our small Grey Lynn villa and I can't recommend them enough. The project involved a full gut & renovate - only the majority of outside walls remained - and it was completed quickly, efficiently, and to a very high quality. Zane and the team kept us fully involved in decisions along the way... Unlike other projects I've heard of, we faced no surprises or unexpected bills. Not bad for a 110-year old & very wonky house. They came up with creative, beautiful ways to solve problems arising along the way, worked seamlessly with our architect and the council, and project managed every team on site. The sub-contractors were just as good to work with as the main team, we were really happy with how easy they were to work with. Even when we through in a design curveball or two, they kept calm and boxed on. Would work with them again any time.”

“Zane and his team did a full reno of our brick n tile bayswater house. We had watched a nearby home being renovated and were really impressed so this is how we found them. We got 3 quotes from other companies, none were as thorough and left too many questions of what might be the cost and time involved. They had everything estimated, detailed and talked us through it in person, not just an email with a total like others. Zane and Christine literally held our hands through the entire thing, as we both working profs who had never renovated before, we left everything up to them to manage. They helped us avoid some costly choices and can't thank them enough for that. Every council inspection passed with ease. They worked really well with our chosen draftsman and designers too. We have lived in the house for a year now and can't recommend them highly enough. Something that stood out for us was the re-using of old bricks and tawa flooring, it meant we could keep our original native timber flooring everywhere. So we have this modern house with all the bells and whistles but without loosing its character. Thanks guys ! I would highly recommend them to anyone. They managed to complete it in great time, during what was the wettest muddiest Auckland winter ever.”

“We engaged Zane and his team at Renovation Builders for a small project recently and were amazed at how easy the project was. The builders were always professional, eplained in detail what they were doing and the project was progressing. I've recommended Renovation Builders many times, they were a pleasure to have onsite to complete our build.”

“Be very wary before you consider using this company. They did a basement and bathroom renovation for us 2 years ago resulting in a significant building defect. The workmanship was average to poor. Zane claimed it was a "bread and butter" project for them, however the builders on site claimed to have never worked on a project like ours; although both had worked for Renovation Builders Limited for a number of years. They have left us with a complete distrust in the building industry because of the way they handled the building defect (which they fixed only after being provided with an engineering report sourced by us). We would not recommend them to anyone. I've given them 2 stars (rather than 1) in the hope that people read this and take heed.”

“Zane and the team did a full renovation on our 1925 bungalow including adding a retractable deck over our swimming pool. Communication during the build was excellent with any queries or requests meet with a quick response and solution. We now have a beautifully renovated family home which is well built with good quality materials and finishes. We highly recommend Renovation Builders for anyone wanting to renovate their home. As first time renovators we felt we were in excellent hands.”
