“We had an amazing experience with Liam Brewer and his team. Our project was complicated as we needed complex EQC works done and we also wanted to add extensive renovations. Liam Brewer took our project on board and managed to negotiate with EQC on our behalf. He did all the paperwork and applications to the Christchurch City Council and chased them up on our behalf. After that, his team and his contractors performed extensive EQC works and all our renovations. We never had to chase them, but they chased us!!!! Our house looks amazing and the works are up to a very high standard. We are extermely grateful to Liam Brewer and his team for their hard work, amazing organisational skills and for making this stressful time almost fun for us. THANK YOU!!! One more thing to add which I think is important. “This was our first time renovating our home and Brewer Builders made the entire process so easy - guiding us through everything we needed to know, giving great recommendations, keeping us in the loop the whole way through and working with the level of involvement that we wanted. Before we even comitted Liam and team took us through every aspect of the build and really helped us understand how to fit our vision within our budget. This attention to detail in the planning stage really paid off as the build went through without any big budget surprises. Furthermore when things went wrong and, for example windows were made to the wrong measurements, Simon really went to bat for us to make sure that what we were getting was what exactly what we should have got and that we didn't have to accept compromises. We never had to chase contractors - he handled that all for us. Another shoutout to builder Peter who was fantastic to work with and around whenever I was on site (I continued to use the garage on the property as a workshop for my own projects throughout the build and we had opted to do the painting ourselves). The only thing stopping this being a perfect 5 stars admittedly won't apply to most. Despite us making it clear multiple times that we wanted all wood coming out of the old house to be put aside and not thrown out I had to rescue one skip load of architraves and skirting boards and unfortunately failed to rescue another of rimu floorboards before the message got through. The skirting could be understandable due to it not being commonly salvaged but the floorboards were specifically mentioned as something we wanted saved. Despite that one hiccup we would absolutely work with Brewer again in the future and highly recommend to anyone thinking about renovating.”
