“We engaged Alpha 1 Builders to undertake a significant (complete) overhaul of our 1920's bungalow and extension in Mt Albert. Alpha 1 impressed us from our first meeting. Paul was attentive and friendly and struck us as being genuinely interested in working with us to get the best outcome. As part of his pricing he demonstrated his attention to detail, eking out dozens of details we hadn’t even considered, and bringing through many of his proposed local subtrades to help with accurate pricing and giving us a chance to meet the team. “I cannot talk highly enough about Paul and his crew. The build was exceptional quality driven by an insane attention to detail that isn’t just Paul, but an ethos embedded across his crew. I feel I’ve done a good job decorating the house, but the first thing most people say when they visit is “you must have had a great builder”! And they were. Project management seems like quite an expense at the start of the project, but this is Paul’s superpower. Even with a 4 week total lockdown and a further 100 day lockdown after that we had hardly any delay in our build. We had a schedule visible to at all times, a clear forecast of total cost and a detailed breakdown of all incurred costs and any decisions made on a weekly basis. Alpha1 transformed our villa from rundown to gorgeous in 6 months and we couldn’t be happier. If only they did landscaping as well! Thanks Paul and team.”
