“I cannot recommend Advance Roofing to others. We had the lower level of our house re roofed but quickly found there was more leaks in it than the original 1985 roof. I held back 50% of payment to be sure they would come out and fix it. To their credit they have come multiple times to try resolve the issues. They must have come out 4 to 5 times. For context their fixes included adding more sealant to a roof flashing and pointing a downpipe away from the edge of a flashing. These should not have happened in the first place and makes me question the work done. One instance of them trying to find the leak included the owner pointing the hose up the flashing leading to a lot of water coming in. Each time I was on the phone to them I was told "there has been a lot of rain and wind". This is not the response you want to hear when your roof is leaking. The latest issue is a dispute on the scope of work as they refuse to re roof a 1 x 3m section of the lower level around the side of the house above our kitchen window. The verbal agreement was to do the lower section of the roof except the carport. They are adamant that this was never included. This was not an issue on other quotes I received as one even states "We have allowed to replace the lower roofs that join into the upper story and small roof around the side that joins on to the carport. We have not allowed to replace the carport or garage roofs." This has been a stressful process after handing over a significant amount of money and now I need another roofer to finish the job.”
